Decker Averaging 91% GP and Better

Far-o-La Debbi-Jo Decker is the latest World Wide Sires bull developing a solid reputation for transmitting consistently high type to his daughters. Decker received a full UK proof in January 2010 and his reputation amongst farmers within the UK continues to grow according to World Wide Sires Northern Ireland manager Paul Dunn.

"Decker is proving to be a very consistent sire and UK farmers are full of praise for the bull. His daughters are hard wearing, long lasting cows and are ideally suited to UK conditions. The bull currently has 135 scored UK progeny averaging 91% Good Plus and Better with an equally impressive Very Good classification rate running at over 20%.

undefined"The bull excels on mammary scores and offers substantial increases on Udder Support (+3.03) Udder Depth (+2.26) and Fore Teat Placement (+2.16) Decker was used across a broad section of cattle and his January 2010 proof confirms the bull's potential by offering an official Holstein UK Type Merit score of +2.57, +2.47 Mammary and +1.76 on Feet and Leg scores," he says.

Decker is considered an outcross sire to traditional bloodlines being a Marshall son bred from Patron daughter, Regancrest Debbie-Jo Ex92. His dam is a fourth generation Excellent scored female and is a descendant of the world famous show cow, bullmother and brood cow, Snow-N-Denises Dellia EX95.

World Wide Sires UK has now acquired the last remaining supplies of the bull according to Paul Dunn. "Unfortunately, Decker is dead and we wanted to secure a long-term supply as a result of his very impressive early UK ratings. The bull is proving extremely popular with pedigree breeders and understandably, large scale herd owners are purchasing supply in substantial volume.

"Decker has a phenomenal pedigree and it's no surprise that the bull excels on type as well as on mammary traits. He also offers a different sire stack and has crossed extremely well on traditional British and Canadian bloodlines. Farmers are therefore receiving an incredible opportunity to purchase supply from one of the breed's most consistent sires. At 91% Good Plus and Better, the bull offers incredible value for money," Paul concluded.

Decker is listed at £20 per unit with discounts available for volume purchases. Contact your local area manager or World Wide Sires office on FREEPHONE 0800 161 3371
